My name is James. I am the wrong side of 30 and have been playing golf for more than half my life.

I am lucky enough to have the love and support of my wife Sharon, without whom life would be dull. We are blessed with Josh (two & a half) who is hilarious and, as yet, wields his own golf clubs with vandalous intent. We also have #2 on the way in the new year, which will contribute to the increasingly part-time nature of my hobby!

This blog is a medium for expressing my excitement, joys, frustrations and irritations with the game of golf and playing regularly enough to maintain a semblance of ability, yet infrequently enough to struggle justifying a full club membership.

I unashamedly plagiarised took inspiration for starting this blog from reading other golf-related blogs on the interweb, which I discovered through the use of Twitter. Links to some of these, which you are welcome to follow, can be found here

I am not alone in being like this. I hope some of the comments will resonate with some people and will allow you to take solace in the knowledge that there are more of us out there.

    I too am an avid golfer. Today, I’m working between shots while watching the President’s Cup. I’m contacting you regarding my Ent on the Green (EOTG) golf belt buckle invention.
